Invented by Darrell Bachmann, a Class A golf course superintendent, the Kickspike Technology was originally envisaged as a means to prevent softspike damage to greens, while giving golfers the traction they really want on the rest of the course (70% of touring pros still use metal spikes). As engineers perfected the design however, it quickly became apparent that the mechanism could be applied in any footwear where added traction was a key requirement.

Kickspike technology creates convenient, instant traction with a gentle kick to the button located on heel. When no longer required, they instantly retract into the sole again, just as easily.
